I love the graceful interplay of the stone arches and the delicate clouds, lit by the rays of the rising (?) sun. |

I'll echo the previous two comments, and give you extra points for including the male and the female. The vibrant color just sings in the picture! |

I seem to be leaning towards the status quo today. That's why I like your original crop. The number of outbuildings seem appropriate to a farm. (Did you know that they had so many because of the danger of fire? There would always be someplace to move into.) And I like the contrast of the blue hour sky with the sunset, too. Great job! |

I'm voting for your original background, Josh. The toned down backgrounds seem "over-engineered" and unnatural to me. The cropping you chose makes this an excellent environmental portrait. I find the out of focus couple in the left background appealing, especially with the stark white background.
Sometimes,we in the PSA make the perfect the enemy of the good. If I understand your Project 365 correctly it's to increase your ability to see photos in your everyday life. You did that very well here, with this sunny personality surrounded by, um, sun. I wish I was there, I would have bought a round for the table!
It's a beautiful intimate moment, which immediately brought to mind another photo by another great photographer:

I as well like the sharp geometry of this image, heightened by the stark white background. The contrast is handle magnificently. well done! |

If you look at the background, you may notice that the highlights have been reduced by about 20%. It may have needed more, but it was enough for me. |
