Sorry, I'm not familiar with the app you used. In Lightroom, would use select sky, and go from there. |

I shot close and relied on the reduced DOF to get a smooth soft backgound, since it is a typical Florida lawn with a rough tropical grass. |

Thanks, Josh. I hadn't really noticed that the left eye is softer than the right. I'll try your suggestion. |

Owen, Love the shot, and the reflection. When I was living in suburban Maryland for 26 years, I took a lot of shots of the Jefferson Memorial, but never one as satisfying as this one. |

Dicky, this is marvelous! That long lens and the exact placement of the double-decker bus makes this image sing! |

Nicely done, and very desolate. The lighting, however makes this landscape look flat, which I'm sure it isn't. Perhaps some subtle and judicious burning in with a wide soft brush along the contours might have emphasized the cragginess of the terrain? |

It's always cool to do a macro of a commonplace subject like this. I don't know if it's my monitor calibration, or that we usually buy dark roast coffee, but these beans look a little light to me. I think adjusting the exposure might bring out the detail as well as showing some of the essential oils that make coffee so flavorful. |

I really like the colors in this photo, and the HDR look is fascinating. But it looks like the masking that the app uses is a little rough, since the trees have halos around them. |
