I had thought of that, and now I'll give it a try! |

Dicky, what a spectacular place you live in. It's not enough to have so spectacular skyline, but then you put on a light show! This is a great image and you've added just the right amount of smoothing to the water with the exposure time you selected. Very good work my friend! |

I know that so many parts of the country are suffering from severe flooding this year, ay least those parts that don't have forest fires. I'm sure that all of the lakes you saw were bigger than they usually are!
There seems to be so little contrast between the muted green in the background and the gray foreground that I would consider converting the entire image to monochrome. |

I like this one very much. It seems that the painting filter added a sense of motion to the picture. Doesn't it seem that the trees are being blown by a high wind?
Which filter were you using. I often use the Topaz Impressions filter, which allows ou to select from a variety of painting styles and mediums, and allows for extensive adjustments to each. |

This worked better than many airplane window shots. You have good lighting, and the aircraft is relatively low, so you don't have alot of haze. That purple bar is son=mething you just can't overcome since it is refraction due to the multiple layers useed in aircraft windows. When I was doing commercial aerial photos in my college days, I'd give a hand signal to the pilot, and kick the door open in the slipstream and shoot through the open door. Since the open door acted like an extraa rudder, the pilot had to compensate on the controls. That involved banking in the direction of the open door. This made for a better angle, but I was supported over 5,000 feet of empty air by only my seat belt. In retrospect, that seems like a lot to ask of a seat belt!
It also looks like you got a bit of a self-portrait in the bottom half of the window.
