Great capture, and so much can be added in post. Here's my take: Verticals straightened, Dynamic Contrast added to the entire image, Sunglow effect to cloud area, a very concentrated section of structure and contrast to lower part of cloud area, and dodging and spot saturation added to the foreground flowers. |

A lovely shot, and I can imagine that it would have been impossible to use a slow shutter speed when you were in a moving boat. My first job was not far from here. As a native New Yorker, I must confess my first thought before seeing your caption was "Aw Jeez, another water main break!" |

Quite a shot, Kerstin, and I like your treatment. But if you can draw attention to what caught Art's eye, let's consider what caught yours ;-) |

Well seen, and a lovely bit of surrealism. |

A Supersharp and dramatic image. One of the blessings of a modern full-frame sensor is using such a high ISO even in bright daylight. |

Thanks for all your comments! I would definitely eliminate a black spot if there was one! But since it's a bug, I decided to keep it. |

Sorry to be the one to lower the boom here, but according to the definition in the "Categories" link at the top of the page, infrared is defined as:
"Images for this group are those taken either with a digital camera converted for infrared photography or using the appropriate filters or digital files created from infrared film negatives. The images may be color or b/w infrared images. Software simulated infrared images are however not allowed."
That said, I agree with the general consensus here. There isn't much that says "infrared" to this shot. To paraphrase Mark Twain writing about an entirely different subject, The difference between an infrared software filter and an "infrared" camera is like the difference between a lightning bug and lightning! |

Such a strong image, and the figure makes it work. |

A very strong image, with great graphic appeal. The image is so abstract, I'm not sure the verticals are very important here. |

I too like the ghostly "IR glow" effect here, but I'd like to see some shadow detail to maintain the house's character |

A great image. I think Palli added the right touch by bringing out the leaf details. |
