This is a really nice pastoral scene with beautiful golden light. The line of sheep creates a nice leading path into the image. I agree with the others that while dust gives it a sense of motion, it also reduces contrast and softens separation. Boosting local contrast around the sheep might help better define the subject. The oak tree, branch and foliage acts as a natural frame around the subject, but is brighter and competes for attention. Lifting the shadows selectively on the herd and slightly toning down highlights in the leaves might help to re-balance it. I like how the photo has a documentary-style that tells a story of sheep heading home. |

Hi Michele, thank you for the feedback. Appreciate an alternate take on the negative space in the foreground of the image and the manhole covers. Alternatively, I could mask the covers and make them less bright, and not remove them. Best regards. |

Thanks for the feedback Nigel. I agree that the lighter manhole covers can be a bit of a distraction. I can go back into the image and remove them or make them less bright. |

Nice capture of the Mateus Palace. It is a strong architectural image with nice symmetry and balance. The mirrored staircases and ornate facade gives it a very pleasing composition. I also prefer the monochrome treatment above, as it brings out the details and the texture in the stonework. Adding a human element would give a scale to the size of Palace. |

I like the sweeping curves of the shoreline and the waves. They create natural leading lines that pulls the viewer from the foreground into the background. The image also has a nice depth with a clear foreground of vegetation, mid-ground of beach and surf and a background of cliffs and the horizon. The sea stacks help serves as visual anchors in the right side of the frame. The highlights are not blown out and there's nice color separation. |

This is a striking silhouette of the vulture on the bare tree top, amid a high-contrast orange sunset which creates a moody atmosphere and gives off a foreboding narrative. In this particular image, the center placement works well with the symmetry of the branches and the vulture at the top helps anchor the image. I also agree with the rest on removing the distractions on the bottom the frame. Superb picture. |

This image captured the scale of the temple using a strong portrait orientation and emphasizes the balance of the architecture on the cliff edge. Positioning the temple on the lower-left of the frame helps guide the viewer's eye from the greenery to the temple and up the natural rock face. The image is really sharp with a high level of detail. There is high contrast and vivid colors without blowing out the highlights, giving it a professional "postcard" aesthetic. |

The vibrant red streetcar makes for a striking focal point against the muted and dark greenery. The tracks serve as leading lines to help guide the eye into the frame. I also agree with the rest that a touch more detail in the shadows help balance out the image. |

Thanks Mike, those are really good feedback. I'll crop up from the bottom to remove some of the empty street for a tighter image. Best regards. |
