71 Jan 26 Reply Hi Tom, I appreciate all of the excellent comments from the group. It was an interesting bridge to walk on. I hope that we will see more of these bridges in the future. Thanks to all for the time and the feedback. Jan 27th
71 Jan 26 Reply Hi Nigel, I can take a look at it in Lightroom to see if I can take out the slight lean using the transform tool. Really appreciate the feedback. Jan 27th

71 Jan 26 Reply Hi Mike, thank you so much for your feedback. I agree that I can envision a similar image with a human subject, like a pedestrian or cyclist. I will take a look at my images to see if I had captured one with pedestrians or a cyclists, for there were many of them on that bridge. Jan 27th
71 Jan 26 Comment This is an atmospheric fine-art landscape image that uses warm, golden light and haze to create a powerful sense of scale and depth. It has a layered foreground foliage, midground stone pillars, and background cliffs in the mist. The vertical rock formations are dramatic and fills the frame. I agree with the others that you can slightly help guide the viewer's eye to the subject through selective dodging and burning. Jan 27th
71 Jan 26 Comment The clustered boats in the foreground work well as an anchor. They create visual interest without feeling overly chaotic. They also lead the eye towards a vanishing point in the background. The light is clean without being dramatic. The reflections off the water are crisp, which reinforces the calm mood of the harbor. I also like the cool blues in the water and sky contrasting gently against the warmer tones of the buildings. Jan 22nd
71 Jan 26 Comment I like the editorial style of this series of documentary photography. The relationship between the shepherd, the horse, and the mass of sheep is immediately clear in this image. The human figure and horse act as an anchor against the visually overwhelming repetition of the flock. There is a tension between the abstraction of the flock and literal form of the human and horse figures. The backlight gives off a beautiful atmosphere, almost cinematic. The lens compression makes the flock of sheep appear tightly stacked. Even though we don't have strong eye contact or facial expression, we understand the subject's relationship to its place. 71 Jan 26 Comment The composition is well-balanced with the placement of the small island slightly off-center works well as a visual anchor. It gives the viewer a clear focal point as the viewer's eye travels naturally through the frame. The tombolo and the V-frame of the mountain slopes acts as leading lines, drawing the eye towards the island. The lighting is clean and even throughout. The image has good layering with the foreground water, midground island, and background mountains, giving it some depth. The image gives an overall feeling of sereneness, expansiveness, and timelessness. Jan 21st
71 Jan 26 Comment I like how the image seems to follow a Golden Spiral type flow. The viewer's eye naturally enters near the right hand chorten and tree and the branches and the roof lines guide the eye inward and leftward in a gentle arc. The mountain peak sits close to where the spiral tightens, acting as a natural visual "resting point" for the eye. The soft violet and blue tones, and the haze around the mountain creates depth without drama. There is a nice layering with the chortens in the foreground, the trees in the mid-ground and the mountain in the background. There is also repetition with the repeating forms of the chortens, which adds a rhythm. Overall, there is a very calming feeling conveyed by the image. Jan 20th
71 Jan 26 Comment This is a beautifully framed door with the stairwell curving right up to it, leading the viewer's eye that way. The green color is a nice contrast to its surrounding. The texture is nicely brought out in this image, which gives the image some character. The light is nice and soft, giving it a soothing atmosphere. The visual elements are well balanced. I agree with Nigel that I think burning the lighter highlights near the stairs and the palms will help even out the image. Jan 20th
