Really well composed image. While both images are just as good, I like the cropped one (image 2) personally. While we lose the context of the misty mountains in the background, it does feature the Dzong more prominently, which in turn makes for a stronger image of the subject. My eye doesn't wander off as much and I tend to study the subject in more detail. |

I enjoy your environmental portraits and this one continues your series of the Shepard. In this image, the Shepard is well anchored on the right third, while his pack of sheepdogs follow him. Meanwhile, the large flock of sheep fills up the mid-ground of the image. The gesture of him in mid-stride captures his confidence and the control of his flock. The image is also nicely layered with a foreground, mid-ground and a background, giving it dimensionality. |

I really enjoy the composition, the light and the fall colors in this image. The sidelight creates a a nice moody feeling. The tree trunks have a bluish tint which gives them a cooler feel than the warm tones. If you desaturate the blues, it will give the right side of the image a warmer tone. Overall, a really nice image. |

I agree as well. The bright red phone booth as the subject has a strong visual weight and immediately draws the eye. All of the other elements appear to be neatly in place and they are not competing with the subject. There is a nice serene stillness to the scene. I'd say if you had wanted a bit of liveliness, then including people in the scene would help. But without the people in the scene, it has a certain timeless quality. |

Thanks Tom! I agree with you and Mike. I've tried to fix the color and crop. See above for new image attached. |

Hi Mike, I really appreciate the feedback on the bluish color. I've adjusted the color to remove the blue in the water and I've cropped it tighter to bring the attention to the stone lantern and gave it a little more vignette. |
