56 Jan 24 Comment You started with an interesting picture of the Woodpecker with nice contrasting colors. Your end result is good and the repainting of the bark is great. May I suggest that you work in layers ie. Treat the bird ,then the bark and the background in separate layers to achieve your desired result withe each section before merging the image. I have found that applying an unsharp filter fo the different layers can enhance sections in whichI need emphasize texture. I am a bird lover and love your picture. Jan 25th
