56 Jan 23 Comment Great effort Martha and congratulations for trying and presenting your artwork.
Further to Cindy's suggestions I recommend working in layers and dividing your subject in sections. Layers allow you to retract on or add to the section. When you turn off the original underlying layer, you can see exactly what and how the section you are painting is effected. Painting with the mixer brush, in photoshop, is fun and there are many lessons on YouTube that will guide you. Enjoy

56 Jan 23 Reply Hi Nancy, looking at it ,I really do not know how to change it but it has given me an idea to do a mono wildlife on a plain white canvas background which I will work for next months round. Any more of your valuable suggestions to improve on this month's image will be most welcome. Jan 16th

56 Jan 23 Comment You have chosen a good position to take the original photo. Your handling of the background is very good and leaving the person in the image was a good choice. Presets appears to be of great use and takes a lot of "slogging" out of trying to paint the entire image. Your choice of the presets are excellent. My suggestion is to look at the left hand of the statue blending in with the branch of the tree and maybe remove that stump from the tree ? A very well seen image and nicely handled. Jan 16th
56 Jan 23 Comment Very unusual and creative. You have a good eye for unusual images turning it into a great work of art. Very nice. Jan 16th
56 Jan 23 Comment Looking at your original capture there is more than one way you could have cropped it before you started the artwork. However, my personal opinion is that you have chosen well and your artwork is very well handled and portioned. The saturated colors are great. Well done. Jan 16th
