Very well seen Peter. I am afraid that you handholding a 400mm lens at ISO 50 and 1/5 sec. shows distinctly in your image as you tried very gallantly to fight handholding this. You tried the impossible. Camera support is vital when planning and attempting these images and settings. |

An eerie image very well seen and captured Marge. No suggestions and I will leave it as is. |

Very well done Kerstin. I Ike your setup and the creation of this image with the mono background. Suggest that you crop some of the background which detracts from the focus point. |

Wow what happened to the guy on the floor? Dramatic action Art. I personally think that the original color image has greater impact and detail as per your insert. Well done on capturing the moment. |

Thank you for the great tips on cold weather photography Craig. It would appear that you had a good time. You handled the exposure very well considering the dark animals against the snow. It is never easy to have detail in both the snow and the animals alike. At f9 your d.o.f. is very good and rendered a sharp image throughout. Well done. Would you have had an even better result if you had bracketed the image in order to get more snow detail? |

Thank you all for your kind comments and suggestions . Tom, I use the find edges filter on a separate layer and start with the overlay mode , the multiply mode changing layer opacity and using unsharp mask. One can also saturate individual areas with the sponge tool? Play around and have fun. |

Wow Elinor you have certainly tackled a major task and have done it so well. I like what Angela suggested in order to magnify those areas which are so easily overlooked. |

Excellent Angela and all have been commented on already. I would crop a little on the left of the artwork which, in my modest opinion will draw more attention to the main subject.? |
