23 Jun 25 Reply Richard, hi!
Yes, it's possible. I wanted to form the blurry picture like watercolor sketch. But just to do lens aperture less and picture will has been formed in focus.

P.S. The Marumi DHG is a close-up filter. The lens is 'Selena' (its analog is 'New Petzval').

23 Jun 25 Comment Marilyn - it's a great photo. I haven't idea for adds. This photo can be used as an advertisement for some national park in Africa or for printing on T-shirts. Perfect! Jun 11th

Thanks a lot!!!!
This photo is a crop of attached photo.
The main device is not close-up filter. The main is Selena lens. This lens has option of changing the nature of the pattern in the blur zone (bokeh) and adjusting of intensity of this changing.
This lens is produced in Russia. But in the USA there is lens 'New Petzval'. By optic scheme, glass and ability these lenses are absolutely same.
Unfortunately these are creative lenses for portrait photography and cannot take macro photos. By this the close-up filters are needed and Marumi DHG Macro Achromat is one of the best of these. I am writing and will share an article in PSA magazine describing this method of macro photography.
