Nice image of the Lady Slipper! I prefer Original 2. I wonder if you took and how other images shot from a different angle would look, maybe a bit higher and to the right, to get more detail of the flower slipper. Just a suggestion. I am going to order a polarizer. If anyone has suggestions, please let me know. |

Great composition and close-up shot. The middle raspberry, which is lighter and appears slightly more in focus than the others, draws the eye. Nice combo of reds and purples. The skin and 'hair' have excellent detail. I think I will need to get a polarizer and give it a try! |

Beautiful shot! Agee with other comments. This reminds me that I have been thinking of getting a Lensbaby lens for a while now. |

Maria, I like the composition. I too could never get this shot focus bracketed with a zoom lens handheld. Great bokeh. Nice work! |

Thanks Denise. A good suggestion. No matter how long I can look at an image I usually miss something minor (and sometimes major :)). |

Thanks David. I always try to see if another background would also work. Sometimes a shade of green or a gradient looks good, but usually people prefer the black. |

David, I love this composition - 'Life rising from the ashes' -or at least that is my interpretation. The flower and leaf are in sharp focus and you captured the detail and textures in the dead leaf. My only suggestion would be to zoom out and capture more of the surrounding environment, particularly on the sides and top of the image. Very nice! |
