Thanks to all for your comments. I was lucky to find this on a day with virtually no breeze. The f stop was as typo. f/6.3. |

A good range of colors which are still quite vibrant for a dying flower. Nice capture of texture in the petals. I like the background. I am not enough of an artist to paint my own, opting sometimes to create a blurred background from a very out of focus shot and then paste the subject on it in PS. Nice job! |

Very nice composition. The diagonal placement and spiraling nature of the flower naturally leads one's eyes across the photo. My only suggestion, similar to David's, would be to either darken the branches in the lower right or my preference would be to blur the background, as I think the brown tones would complement the pic. |

Barbara, this is a beautiful photo creatively edited to give it a 'dreamy' look (at least to me). Would you give a bit more detail on how you edited this? Multiple exposures blended in PS? What color was the flower? Very nice blending of greys (or tans) and whites with the petals. Superb! |

David, this photo has a great composition, beautifully shaped petals highlighted by the dew drops. Color is vibrant and 'true'. I often find reds the hardest to shoot. I particularly like the way you edited the bottom of the flower. At first, I thought it was placed on a black glass with a reflection! Nice job. |
