Denise, welcome and glad to have you here. Great job at getting the center and surrounding petals in focus and recessed petals soft. I actually like your crop, and the creamy texture! I have Topaz (Photo/Photo AI) but am not familiar with their filters. Maybe I am missing them. Are there equivalent filters in PS?. |

Barbara, I agree with all the above comments. Beautiful picture of a dahlia! If I had to nitpick, I would say maybe try to get more of the center bud in view by adjusting angle slightly, but again, very minor point. |

David, not much to say at this point other than a beautiful shot! It reminds me of hands in prayer cupping a candle. Well done. |

The dew drops really make this photo! Highlighting the edges and shapes of the plant. |

David, thanks for your comments. The older I get the more I appreciate wabi-sabi :)! I struggled with the background, so thought I throw this out to the group for suggestions. I tried to lighten the center, but I agree it could use some more brightness. Sometimes the photo looks brighter on my monitor in LrC than when I export. I have similar issue when printing and often have to increase exposure 1/3 stop or more. Again, thanks for the suggestions. |
