David, I bet it took a long time to select this out of the original. You did a great job. I probably would have given up! I like the result, and the B&W gives it an almost 'eerie' appearance (or maybe I have been watching too many Alien movies). |

Maria, great composition, and detail on the petals. Also like the 'gradient' of the background, going from lighter to darker tone. Nice! |

Barbara, a beautiful photo and love the red and white tones. I love how it captures the softness of the petals. As a suggestion, you may want to try using a second light source if possible, to reduce some of the shadows on the petals, such as those on the top half of the flower. When I shoot flowers indoors, I often use 2 LED lights, a main light on a stand and a second in my left hand which I move to different positions as I take pics to try to reduce shadows. This is obviously more difficult when using a flash. I also agree that the background can be darkened a bit. |

David, thanks for your suggestion. I struggled with how to orient the flower for major impact and not sure I liked how it turned out. I will have to play with it some more. |

Dick, thanks for the feedback. I was not very happy with the shot and like your edit much better. I wanted to capture the vibrant colors of the leaves and flower and your variation does that. Thanks again. |

Dick, I agree completely with the comments of David and Barbara! A perfect composition with beautiful detail of the tomatoes and vines and a soft background. My only suggestion is to change the title to 'The Tomato Family'! |
