Hi Maria, very nice photo. I agree with all the above compliments. I think a crop with a bit more space on the top and right of the photo might also work. I was going back and forth re: removing the withering flower, but I agree that it adds reality to the pic. |

Dick, I really like the composition of this photo - the arching stem with what looks like a 'family' of buds with different sizes. I don't know if they were actually different sizes or just the angle you shot. Love the background blur and colors. Beautiful photo. |

Barbara, I really like the composition of this photo and the balance of colors. I love daylilies and this is pretty photo.
My only suggestion is that, to me, the photo could be a bit sharper in focus. Having said that, I often have trouble photographing flowers with long stamens as I think the camera will often focus on the petals. This is particularly hard when not using a tripod, so kudos to you for getting a shot this good handheld. I have deleted tons of frames from this issue. |

David, thanks much for your suggestion. I like your modifications and think it improves the shot. I kept looking at it thinking there is something else I could do to improve it.
I don't consider myself very advanced, but I appreciate your comment. I primarily use Lightroom for most edits, but occasionally also Photoshop to add a plain background or textures. Thanks again. |

David, I like this photo, and think the spider makes the shot! I love my RF100mm lens, especially for shooting close-up/macro, particularly of flowers.
I like the sharpness of the flower in the original a bit more as compared to the final pic. However, I agree that some the elements in the background can be distracting. I am curious as to how you diffused/blurred the background? |
