Hi Richard - yes those are flies. I'd thought about removing them, but figured they should stay and add to the story instead. |

Thank you Adrian. You're right, it is too bright. I was always so focused (bad pun) on the front of the turtle that I ended up ignoring that fact. |

I love this. The story, the crop (perfect), the edits (never thought about using negative clarity for blurring). A really, really fine image. |

Hi Maria - how fun that you got to get so close and interact with this normally skittish bird! I like your edits. Giving it a bit more room to the right works because that's about where its head is inclined. I like that expression too - very cute. Nice job. |

Hi Richard - nice capture! I'm usually not a big fan of birds in flight intersecting one another, but this one is good (imho). One feels like an almost perfect reflection of the other. My only suggestion would be to crop them a bit tighter. Nice clear shot and I really like these birds and their striking coloration.
As to your camera issues. I have this camera, and now also the Aii. I've not experienced the issues you mentioned. Had you tried to do a firmware update? |

Hi Maria - I really like the balance of the image in the frame. Nicely done. Sharp (as always), and the water droplets on the flower add a nice touch too. I don't s the anything to improve on. |

Hi Bruce - nice sharp photo with vivid colors. The only thing that I notice, and maybe this is just me, is he seems to be angled ever so slightly. I.e., the horizon feels a little off. Beautiful bird and good composition otherwise. |
