72 Aug 25 Reply Isaac, Thank you for turning it. You and Adrian are right, it does present better like this. Aug 24th
72 Aug 25 Reply Thank you Adrian. I hadn't thought about turning it since half the "fun" of getting this image was chasing him around the stem. I like your idea though. Aug 24th
72 Aug 25 Reply Thank you Marie for your kind review/comments. Aug 14th
72 Aug 25 Reply Thank you so much Marie. Yes, spiders are usually pretty easy to photograph - this little bugger was more of a mover though. I have a new spider photo that I will probably submit another time - it has been hanging out on one particular flower in my garden now for weeks. Aug 13th

72 Aug 25 Comment Maria - I don't know that I see anything you could have done differently - your edits are spot on. You got the most important bits tack sharp and blurring the background worked out very well. Good photo - good edits. Aug 12th
72 Aug 25 Comment Bruce - I like how you captured the large male's dorsal fin at the rear of the group, as well as the spout of one of the animals near the front. My only critique would be that the very front orca seems cut off. I like the colors of the rocks and the green to blue in the water - that's a nice touch. Aug 12th
72 Aug 25 Comment Isaac - I've nothing to say but NICE shot! Honestly, I like how you captured the penguins' "misery" (as I've been told they are pretty unhappy birds during molt), and their reflections are so sharp and clear. Again, nice shot. Aug 12th
72 Aug 25 Reply Thank you Richard. Technically, it wasn't a difficult shot to get. Patience was the key here because the little guy kept moving, and quickly. Just when I'd get him locked out in on ficus he'd jump! Haha. Aug 10th
72 Aug 25 Comment Adrian - this is a lovely shot. I agree with you about darkening the background to give the lilies the stage. Only one leaf (on the left) looks a bit blown out - but I don't think it detracts from the overall image. The reflections in the water are just as sharp as the lilies above. A nice balance of color and keeping horizons in balance. Nice job. Aug 7th
72 Aug 25 Comment Richard - I really like this shot. The chick in focus with the adult in the background definitely provides the feeling you were after. I like how the chick seems to be looking at you as if to say, yeah, I'm a big boy/girl, look at me. ;) The focus is just right, and the water in the background tells more about the location besides just sand. The angle is great - were you laying down when you took this? Aug 7th
72 Aug 25 Comment Maria - Wow! You nailed it with this photo. Getting all of the butterflies in sharp, and that one that is taking off from the plant too - fantastic! The background is perfectly soft yet you can tell you were in a field. Great shot! Aug 7th
