Roy, Thank you for the comment and I was wondering the same. I might try toning the background down a little but I think by doing that it may take away from the Merganser some. |

Danielle, I think the suggestions that Craig and Alan are right on. A little cropping will make it a stronger image. |

Craig, This image really draws me into the photo and the 3 image panarama works very well. I really like the like how the image was put together. Maybe it is my monitor but the image looks just a little flat to me. I took the liberty to make the following slight global adjustments in LR . Exposure +.20, Contrast +.12, Hightlights -48 and whites +26 |

I'm a little late to the party in commenting but I have to say this is a nice image. THe colors are vibrant and bright. I would agree with other saying the lighthouse whites are a little overblown. In the foreground I found the bushes to maybe distract a little IMO. So I tired a square crop on your image. This also reduced the sky a little. In LR I was able to mask the Lighthouse and decrease the highlights a little and also added a little texture to the lighthouse. This image brings back some fond memories. We were there once in the winter and it was so cold. |
