Congratulations on the award! I do like the "punchiness" of your first one and really like the "reflection" you added. |

Thanks Robert. I don't really like the color revision as well - I still prefer the original color one. I agree the black and white one works well. |

Two revisions to the original - one is black & white and the other is reduced color warmth. Which works best for you? |

Great action shot! If the sea was a bit darker the spray might be even more dramatic than it already is. |

I like the symmetry you achieved and your vision. The only thing that bothered me a bit was the head on the poster was cut off - would have like to see the whole head. But that may not be what you wanted. |

I really like the treatment you did for this image - the colors bring the buildings alive, great reflections in the water. The sky bothers me a bit but not as much as it does Ed and Brenda. I would have preferred a bit more depth of the orange color. |

Thank you. I am going to try changes in tone and color and see if I can't process the image to get the same "gloomy" and foreboding atmosphere. |

I do like "unusual" subjects. I will try your suggestions. |

Ed - I tried processing it as a black and white initially but thought the monochrome gave a more foreboding atmosphere as evidenced of the old penitentiary. I will try again as Brenda also thinks BnW might be good for the image and I did initially. |

I really like this image and the experimentation that you did to get it. I'm not quite sure I understand all the set-up techniques but I do understand the post-processing. I love the clarity you achieved and the full "reflection" by doing the transform technique. The sky is a bit saturated but it fits with the objective you were trying to achieve. Great job! |
