30 Jun 25 Reply Thanks Dorinda. I like this one better as well, although I think I could increase the contrast a little bit. Jun 27th
30 Jun 25 Comment Hi everyone, in response to your comments, I found another image from this shoot that has a bit more sky in it. Jun 26th
30 Jun 25 Reply I love long exposures and old bridges! I hope you explore this idea more and share your results with us! Jun 24th
30 Jun 25 Reply Mark and Leonid, I tend to agree, but the sky that evening was pretty bland, and I had to work to pull any color or definition out of it. Jun 8th
30 Jun 25 Comment I like this version better! Jun 6th
30 Jun 25 Reply Well, the editor needs to be fired. Just kidding. Nice work! Jun 6th
30 Jun 25 Comment I like this a lot! Old buildings, cobblestone streets, old time lamps, and great leading lines. The figure dressed in black compliments the olden times feeling of this image. There is a little bit of color in the sky, which is a good thing. The lights are a little bright, and I am undecided about the one window that is lit. Did you pose the person in the image, or was this just random? Jun 6th
30 Jun 25 Comment I had to read the description to realize what this image was about. So much less blur, so the viewer could tell that this was a train on a bridge, would be nice. I wonder if you could find a vantage point where the bridge and train are at a diagonal? That would make it a much more dynamic composition. Jun 6th
30 Jun 25 Comment Nice catch! Jun 6th
30 Jun 25 Comment This is a nicely composed image of a handsome family, probably just right for the magazine. I wish the mom and dad were not holding onto the food item -- that looks a little too staged. It looks a little too bright overall for my taste. The background could be a little more OOF, and there are some hot spots. Did you use fill flash? Shooting in this type of lighting (mixed sun and shade) is really difficult. I think you handled that well. Jun 6th
30 Jun 25 Comment I like the concept a lot. Very creative. The near white of the hat and T-shirt do distract my eye (our eyes tend to go to the bright spots in an image). Maybe crop a little more? Is that a real TLR camera, or a toy? Jun 6th
30 Jun 25 Comment The robin is nicely framed between the tree on the left and the OOF tree on the right. The color is beautiful and the bird is in sharp focus. The OOF tree on the right bothers me a little. I am wondering how far away from the bird you were with your smartphone, what the zoom ratio was, and if this was handheld. Jun 6th
