30 May 25 Comment This is a famous location in Brooklyn. The old pilings make for great leading lines to the Manhattan skyscrapers. I like your composition here. Maybe crop a little off the left side. I like the color in the sky. The image looks tilted slightly clockwise. Also, the color in the water, while probably captured accurately by your smart phone, does not compliment the subtle color in the sky. I'd suggest making a selection of the water only and experimenting with a cooler color temp (more to the blue). This can be done using a mask in LR edit module or Adobe camera raw. May 5th
30 May 25 Comment Nice leading lines and dramatic lighting here. I'm unsure about the blurred fence framing the picture. This image is about lines and textures, and for that reason, I'd suggest going straight monochrome here, no duo-tone. I don't think the color adds anything. Also, I have a pet peeve about lens flare, and I would remove the two circles in the top middle of the frame. May 5th
30 May 25 Comment Certainly you achieved a glamour image here. The tilt works for me. The lighting and color are nice. The framing looks a little off, with too much space on the left and not enough on the right sides of the frame. Also, her left arm position looks a little awkward, and whatever she is holding in her left hand, and why, is kind of a mystery to me. May 5th
30 May 25 Comment I think you captured the pure joy your grandson is experiencing in the moment. I'm neutral about color vs. monochrome. What bothers me more is the orange-green object in the triangle made by his arm, his body, and the chain. If you could remove that, or at least blur it significantly, I think this would be a much stronger image. May 5th
30 May 25 Comment I like the humor in this photo. Nice candid capture. The image looks underexposed and low contrast to me. More space on the right hand side of the frame would be nice. Also, I wish the photographer was not standing right in front of a window. It is possible to fix that in PS but a fair amount of work. May 5th
30 May 25 Comment I like the one a lot. The couple have a lot of character, and the seagull looking in the same direction is subtly humorous and changes the whole concept beautifully. What are they looking at? The viewer can only guess. The blurred background is definitely the way to go. Good pickup by Phu Vo about the area that is not blurred. The crop is fine to me. May 5th
