3 Sep 25 Comment Hi Ruth! Just wanted to pop in and say how much I love the moose photo you shared this month! Your image is beautiful and what a fabulous opportunity to capture this close-up of a moose in the water.
I did not share a moose in group this month, but I do have one in the member showcase. It's an image I took a couple of years ago in the Bighorn Mountains of Wyoming.
But now I won't rest until I get one in the Tetons. Thanks for the inspiration and for sharing your wonderful capture!

21 Sep 25 Comment Hi Leslie, This is a very interesting storytelling image.
I too, like the muted color palette.
I also wanted to congratulate you on your image of the night heron that is included in the PID Digital Dialogue member showcase this month. Incredible detail on your closeup photo!
I enjoyed it very much!

31 Sep 25 Comment Hi Ella,
I'm visiting from another group and just had to say that as I was reviewing the current images this month, yours stopped me in my tracks.
The simplistic beauty of your setup is stunning in itself, but your control of the light with light painting is totally amazing. Having done some light painting,I can't imagine how you executed this so perfectly, but congratulations are in order and a thank you for the inspiration to keep trying!

40 Sep 25 Comment Hi Andrew!
Congratulations on your image of Rudston Monolith featured in the PID Digital Dialogue Member Showcase this month. I especially enjoyed your composition displaying the monolith slightly off-center, but giving it context within its surrounds. Well done!

82 Sep 25 Reply Narasimhan, thank you! Badlands National Park is known for its geology, with deposits being made over 75 million years ago. Each stripe represents a new layer of deposit. About 500,000 years ago erosion started and now the Badlands are losing about 1 inch per year, a very fast rate for rocks. Sep 29th
82 Sep 25 Reply Andrew, Thank you for visiting our group and for your comments on my image. I believe you are correct and the camera was inadvertently tilted. I am attaching the full frame straightened. Thanks again! Sep 28th
82 Sep 25 Comment Thank you Laurie and Kathleen for your suggestions. I have edited the image to add texture and contrast in Camera Raw and I think it looks much better! Sep 25th
82 Sep 25 Comment Laurie, I look forward to the geometry you find and the enhancements of light and shadow. This presentation is excellent. I can't think of a thing to improve it.

82 Sep 25 Comment Harry, I am struck by the stunning geometric design of the flower. The sharpness of the center contrasted by the softness of the petals is fine with me. The only suggestion I would have is to try and get a more direct straight-on perspective so the symmetry is more balanced on each side of the center. Something is making the flower look a little tilted to one side.. perhaps it's the lighting instead of the perspective. Sep 20th
82 Sep 25 Comment This is a great storytelling image, Prasad. The structure and impacts makes me think of our games of sport and chance here in the US, such as livestock races and rodeo events like bull-riding. The risks are substantial to humans amd animals so the courage and heart must also be extraordinary.
I have only tried panning a few times, with little success I might add. It looks like you have mastered the technique, which makes me want to try it again. Were you using focus-tracking as well?

82 Sep 25 Comment You captured this action so well, with a nice sharp image and great depth of field, not easy to do when horses are galloping towards you. I like the black and white, which imparts a gritty feel, appropriate for the setting. Sep 20th
82 Sep 25 Comment Absolutely spectacular image! I agree with Laurie, the reflection puts the image in a class all by itself. I love that you included the windmills. I assume they help in the drying process?
Your image tells a story about a process I was unfamiliar with and certainly knew nothing about the associated perils. Thank you for sharing!
