Thank you for the clarification and re-sharing the gorgeous church image. What an amazing scene.. mystical and serene! What is your vantage point for the church photo. Are you up on a slight hill? |

Thank you Kathleen. I have done water drops too, but without a MIOPS trigger, which made it very tricky. This was much easier. |

The stuff memories are made of! I love that your shutter didn't totally freeze the ball, leaving some action. I would like to see the image cropped even more, really showing off the intensity of your granddaughter's expression and eliminating the structure on the right. You would probably want a longer focal length lens for that. I haven't converted to the mirrorless Z series, but my standard setup on my D850 is the 200-500mm f/5.6 with a 1.4 teleconverter (up to 700mm), especially for shooting wildlife. Of course I lose a stop of light to f/8 for the TC. I don't find this to be too much of a problem but it could be for the low light conditions in sports photography. For what it's worth I am attaching an image I took this past weekend of wild horses at TRNP. 700 mm; 1/800 sec; f/8; ISO 250. No crop, no processing.. SOOC. |

Prasad, how wonderful to be able to travel to such an enchanting place! A wonderful scene to be sure and a perfect travel representation with the people included for scale. I looked up some external info and am hoping you can clear up a bit of confusion for me. Is there a Bled Church and a Bled Castle and which one is on top of the rocks? |

Cool capture, Kathleen! Perfect timing to capture them facing in opposite directions.. are they actually cuddling? In any case, a wonderful photo! |

Thanks so much Harrison! I agree that the image is too busy. I love the ones I have seen that have less glasses and really allow you to see what is going on. Truth is, I didn't have enough of the medium sized ones in a heavy glass without patterns and I did find the effect of stacking the refraction by putting glasses in front of each other quite interesting. I am attaching a very wide angle shot with my setup and the background I hastily made myself. I look forward to trying this again and incorporating your suggestions. |
