Hi Martin,
The moment for decisions. A personal, relaxing moment under the eye of "The Sea Thieves" was well spotted and captured. Will they share? What is "The Sea of Thieves"? I thought it was a band, I Google it, and it may be a game. A story there.
Cropping is very effective, isolates the couple and the sign, and provides an interesting addition to the image. The well-balanced colour has a "poster-like" tone supporting the advertising for The Sea Thieves." The pose contributes to the moment's intimacy, and the right side of the frame points toward a way out. Well done. |

I prefer the B&W version. Well, I am biased; most of my preferred images are in B&W. However, in this case, your image is definitely very appealing in B&W. The image is well balanced; the key is the mood, which you lifted up by converting it to B&W.
The setting reminds me of images from European salons, there were balls, poetry readings and political discourse. The gentleman at the periphery is the "distant observer" there as a witness. Well done. |

Hi Gerhard.
I looked at this image several times, meaning contemplating it and trying to decipher its meaning. In the end, I think there are possible stories and meanings to be taken from the image, and these depend entirely on the viewer.
In my mind, the lady is having fun, enjoying her new (it looks new) car, in a place that pleases her, maybe it brings good memories. Elegantly dressed, colour coordinated but practical, no accessories. The lady, the scenery, and the car are well in sync. She is there for a lofty purpose, following an inner goal - pleasure. The arrow in the bottom right corner points to a new direction. That seems to be the dissonant note in the - intriguing.
The image is well balanced: the light, colour and mood - serenity. I would prefer to see the image taken from a lower angle, allowing for a wide perspective.

I think the B&W is definitely better suited for this image. In history and from stories, the stripped B&W shirt points to the perils of protesting, of civil disobedience around the World and across ages. The image is tilted, pointing to "something is a foot". The contrast also makes the essence of the image a serious matter. Well done. |

A great laugh, posture and attitude. Interesting character. The framing suitably isolates the subject but not too much. After all, the gentlemen and the drums look like they belong together. The colours and image definition support the subject, creating his aura, and there must be a story behind. Well done. |
