Thank you, Martin. The plastic bags have garments he just purchased at the open market. He is waiting for someone to pick him up. He will bring these to his town or village and sell them, and that is how he makes a living. The stools belong to someone else, who set up shop later in the day to sell whatever street food or other common items.

Thank you, Armen. I thought that scene would allow me to capture struggle, not dismissing it as something we do not want to see. The leading lines to the subject and the background made the frame more interesting. I am glad you liked it.

Ah, the reaction I was looking for. Thank you, Trey.
I thought about cropping it to a square, but the pointed shadow leading to the subject changed my mind. I felt it complements the mood.

Your crop created a feeling of closeness, which is not what happened. Two people inhabit the same space for a moment in time, but each one is absorbed by their own lives to "see" their surroundings. The cropping also changes the mood to one of claustrophobia. A good B&W image. I like its impact. |

A trendy couple juxtaposed in a trendy advertisement. Good juxtaposition. I like the image cropping; however, for me, you cropped it too much. A couple more centimetres to the right would change the aspect and give it more volume. Nevertheless, good image, well spotted and taken.. |

Amazing food truck, an example of the food culture now embraced by many cities and towns around the world. I like the creative effort placed to set up the truck, making it distinct and with character. Easy to identify in a crowd, also. Good work. |

A well-done documentary on Halloween culture in the USA. Good colour balance and image definition. I wonder if you also captured this scene at night. It would be interesting to see the contrast in mood. Good work. |

An interesting image, Trey. I agree with you. I assume you were walking slowly and appreciating the settings as you crossed them. I like the duality (open and close) of the building entrance and the play of the light and reflections.
I do not use the grain presets in LRC. I think that grain in some settings and situations is a plus to enhance the mood. I did not know that there was a "NO" grain in street photography. I use it when needed and in other situations, i.e. night street photography is part of the course. |
