Thanks Sunadan. I will be back to ICM next month. I like doing all types of photography. You are a master of compositing. |

I think the BW really works here. |

I think that this is a beautiful and moving story telling image with a powerful silhouette and great light and color. I cropped it so that the subject isn't in the center and that the focus is more on the interaction between the subjects rather than the amazing sunset. The final decision is of course up to the artist. |

Some how my edit on Marge's image replaced my work on Sylvia's.
Here it is. |

I agree that the man with his pink shirt brings added value to this image. I dodged, used a curves adjustment, cropped more tightly and flipped it horizontally so that the lines of the bicycle and lighter areas lead the eye to him. |

I definately see some ICM that imparts a feeling of movement that creates an impressionistic and enhances the cool moody feeling. I would try using a slower shutter speed. I often use 1/6 and 1/8 on overcast days. On sunny days I often use a circular neutral density filter. I also shake the camera a bit. move it forwards, backwards, zoom in and out and move it diagonally. For me there was a lot going in this image so I cropped to draw attention to the vertical, horzontal and diagonal lines. I also flipped it horizontally which I think works. |

I like the work you did. For me, it tells a great story and I think you captured and effective moment. It seems we are both trying a high key approach and the painterly feel it imparts to an image. Kudos to Kurtis for his cropping. I think it is very effective. I didn't quite as far. I also toned down the greens and cloned out a bit of vegitation |

I am impressed with you skill in capturing this subteranean landscape with the challenging lighting conditions. Kudos for your experimentation. I think that you have effectively captured the feeling of imensity. I took a slightlty different approach and cropped closer to the subjects, used a reflected gradient to brighten the center of the cavern, toned down some of the bright areas and used a curves and vibrance adjustemt to try and capture even more of the feelings of wonder that they probably experienced. I also flipped it. It is just another approach. |

I like how you made what was a record imgage into a work of art. For me, the color palliate has impact and works to pull be in and keep looking. My only suggestions are to crop from the left a bit and maybe from the bottom. I did play with this by adding a slight vignette, a curves adjustment, cropping and did some dodging and burning. |
