No apologies are necessary. We all have different tastes and likes. I do appreciate your honest response. |

I think this is another well conceived and thought provoking photo. I increased the contrast with a curves adjustment, cropped a bit and add a vignette. |

Thanks Kurtis, I appreciate your comments. ICM takes a lot of pre-visualization to work, lots of experimentation, trial and error as well as many, many pics. It isn't for everyone. I was in France and at the seaside resort where Monet made his first impressionistic paintings. There was an exhibit at the museum there that showed the interaction between the photographers there and the painters. Photography enabled the painters to move from documentation to exploring their vision through painting. For me and others, digital cameras and the digital darkroom has given photographers the tools to do the same and express our artistic vision. |

I think that this is a great street shot that tells a story and captures the moment. The only change I would make would be to crop more closely. I agree with Kurtis that BW is more effective since, for me, the bright colors take attention away from the great textures, details and expressions. You could also try flipping it horizontally. |

I like the fact that he is holding a twig. I cropped, darkened the bright spots in the background and used the lens correction filter to bring the top and right side forward, brightened the eye and head and of course flipped it horizontally. |

I know that they run counter clockwise but I think it has more impact this way even if it isn't accurate but as the photographer artist, the call is yours to make not mine. |

I do like how he is looking at you so this isn't the usual butt shot. I agree with Kurtis' suggestions. I cropped more tightly, brightened the face and darkened the background. |

I think this captures a peak moment. I feel the tension. I blurred the background and use a curves adjustment and hue/saturation to tone down the intense colors but that is my take. I also, as usual, flipped it horizontally. I think it works here. |

I think this is a WOW abstraction and a great example of a photographer seeing what no one else does and creating a piece of art out of nothing. I like what Kurt did. I, of course, played around with the image by cropping, flipping and increasing the saturation and using an S curve. |

The post processing was done in Adobe CC. I cropped, used the lens correction filter and then transform - distort to straighten out the sculptures, a curves adjustment and hue/saturation to tone down the intense colors to create a somber mood. I also works well in bw. |
