I think this is a lovely capture that tells the story of going from dark to light. In my take, I cropped, used a vignette and flipped it horizontally. |

I think that you have captured the beauty and gorgeous colors of this holy place. For me, it is a bit too bright. I cropped it and toned down the borders to draw attention to the Buddha. |

I think your title fits and that the BW draws attention to the interesting textures, shapes and structures. I cropped, removed the white branch on the bottom and the tree above the house, increased the contrast and flipped it horizontally. |

I think this is well captured story telling image of a boat returning to port. I agree that a more asymmetrical crop would impart more sense of motion. I would like to see some more contrast as well. I used a top and bottom vignette, added some more to canvas to one side and the bottom, brightened the middle and flipped it horizontally. I think the flip works. |

I agree that this is a lovely and well composed landscape with a colorful foreground, an interesting middle and mountains in the background. For me, it is a bit too dark. I brightened it and cropped a bit to take away some of the sky and left side. |

I like the BW because of the drama. I agree that removing the bush is a good idea. I of course tried a different approach. I used the original to make a color image. I flipped it (no surprise), used a gradient and vignette as well as removing the bush. |

In IR the leaves are whatever color you want. I like white leaves too but I liked the yellow leaves in this one. When using IR film the leaves are white. With digital cameras converted to IR, there is a filter that uses the part of the IR spectrum to produce Black and white images where the leaves are white. |

Thanks everyone for the great comments and different reactions and perspectives. For me, there is no correct image. There are at least six different IR filters, each showing a part of the IR spectrum and producing different colors and effects. From there, using photoshop (the red and blue channels are switched for starters), the possibilities are endless. The one used here, when processed, caused the greens to appear yellow.

They should be switched. I did flip the image after processing it. |
