38 Dec 21 Reply Thanks Regine. I recommend converting your camera to a full IR sensor so that you can use different filters on the lens to get the full spectrum of IR as well as a filter that will let you continue to use it as a normal camera. Dec 30th
38 Dec 21 Comment Hi Marge. Thanks for the feedback. For me, the story is the rock contemplating the bridge and how the curve of top of the rock matches the curve of the bridge. The tile is "Rock viewing bridge." It is supposed to convey a Zen feeling. Dec 27th
38 Dec 21 Reply Thanks Gabriele, I am looking forward to seeing your IR photos. Dec 27th
38 Dec 21 Reply Thanks you Kurtis for your thoughtful and constructive comments. I truly appreciate your feedback. Dec 27th
38 Dec 21 Reply Thanks Sylvia, I like your take on the image. Dec 27th
38 Dec 21 Comment I think this works because it tells a story. For me, cutting off the tip of the tail is a bit distracting and it seems a bit too dark. Gabriele and Kurtis have made some great suggestions for improving the image. I took a different approach to focus on the idea of the bird sleeping. I cropped and used Nik Viveza and the burn and dodge tools. I also flipped it horizontally. Dec 10th
38 Dec 21 Comment I like the story but for me, the colors especially the reds on the boat don't work. It draws my attention away from the dog who is the subject. I used your original, cropped, used curves and a reflected gradient as well as some dodging. Dec 9th
38 Dec 21 Comment I like the capture, the backlighting and the colors. I haven't had great success with hummingbirds. I like what Kurtis has done. I cropped it more closely, took out some of the background and flipped it horizontally. Dec 9th
38 Dec 21 Comment I like this, especially the rim light and the asymmetrical composition. I would tone down the brighter areas in the background and add a vignette. Dec 3rd
38 Dec 21 Comment I like the asymmetrical composition and the color. I agree with Kurtis. I took it a bit further by cropping, straightening the diagonal, toning down the brightness and flipping it horizontally. Dec 3rd
