Mike, I followed yours and Steve's suggestions, and here is the result. I like it. Thanks. |

Frans, this image is impressive. I can appreciate how difficult it is to freehand the bloody effect you went for in the final composition. Sometimes less is more - to me the bloody markings on Medusa's arms look like extensive artful tattoos (was that intentional?) instead of blood spatter. |

Nicely done Candy. I like the subjects poking out from the windows - adding depth to the image. I also like the re-use of the wall cutouts as windows. The pets look a bit like they are imprisoned inside a castle tower. |

Thanks Mike - I have noticed that you and I are both drawn to birds. I appreciate your suggestions about accentuating the birds - so yes, I think this one is a work in progress! |

Thanks Jan. Your version gets the message of natural vs artificial beauty expressed simply and clearly. I wish I had gone down that road - it would have saved me a bunch of time! My attempt with the birdwatcher was to attempt to bring him into the conversation by making him a hybrid of reality and artificiality (is that a word?) using pixellation and stained glass. |

Thanks Gunter. Do you think I should have "massaged" them more in Photoshop with filters and special effects? |

Gunter, this image is SO soothing on the eyes! Looking at it feels like a brain massage. Was there ever an actual subject that was photographed, or did this composition come entirely from the computer? Thanks |
