Thanks for the comment and the original photo shows a large expanse of watter and marsh with bubbles in the path of the skimmer. The bubbles are fish breaking the surface and the target of the shimmer. Skimmers can be seen in large flocks on the beach betseen flights to look for smal bait fish. This is the only photo location with good displays on their fishing methods. |

Agree with the above and wonder if the highlights in the edges and horizontal surfaces could be brought out just a bit. Lightroom has a slider in the develop mode that will sharpen and definition to the photo. Just a thought. |

Lovely photo with great composition, sharp, no distractions and your placement is very appealing. Agree with aoo of the above including the one comment on cropping. |

Trying to pan a photo with a slower speed helps with the feeling of motion as it allows the back ground to be blurred. You may have been trying this technique. Good photo with strong composition, no distractions and it looks like all 4 feet are in the air.
Nice shot. |

Judy, the photo awas made using Photoshop, several years ago, and have since then switched to Lightroom. The photo is make with 2 layers using the original photo and a copy. Your bottom layer is the original photo and the top layer is from a dopy and sized to your choice. The drop shadow is a 4-6 pixel frame (width is your choice, called a strok) as part of layer 2. This next move is the part that eludes me, and that is how to place the shadow on the side of the stroke to correspond to the direction of the light. The details should be in Pnotoshop in one of the earlier versions of Elements .
I will look for more details . Tom Carnahan |

Good detail, sharpness and composition with the only distraction being the draine line. Do not see how to clone or remove the drain with our loosing some of the impact of the three frogs. Or maybe the drain line is part of their living space and and a natural part of their habitat, therefore an integral item and belongs in the photo.
Do not know where that thought came from but it flet natural. |

Your photo was taken on an ideal day wwith soft light and a dramatic setting. Only further suggestion for next time and a long plane ride would to take a panorama with 2 verticle shots to capture the entire water faall which gives dramatic sense of the height as welll as the lower falls, bridge etc.
Good choice of locations and several people on the bridge would add to the dimensions of the setting. (Next time.) |
