Thank you all for your comments. I left for L.A. on the 18th and just now getting to my inbox. I'm with family and have been distracted!
My title would be "Late Season Leaf" if I decide to enter it. I'm looking at some other possibilities.
I need to submit by January 4th.
I wish you all Happy holidays and may 2026 bring good things. |

I was initially struck by the color and scope of the image, Rita. It reminded me of the Palouse images I've seen with the rolling terrain in the middleground. I don't know what the foreground color was but it maybe could be desaturated a little bit. I do like the way the color is repeated in the middleground, though. You were right to keep the clouds and sense of impending storm.
I wonder if you could remove the white structure since it seems to draw the eye and not fit into the scene

Your choice of B&W is right on, Diana. You did a great job of post processing and elinminating distractions. It speaks to time and place and I found myself wondering about its history.
Nice fore-,middle-, and backgrounds, too.

This is such a cool image, Dean.
It's very creative and demands that the viewer look closely to see the repetitive detailsand to decide if it's stitched.
The color is very eye catching. |
