Thanks, Dean. I have to assume that the image did not come actross too dark.
I'm using 2 monitors and not ever sure which one is the correct exposure. |

Very detailed critique, Diana, and much appreciated. I will try all your ideas and go back to my cropping.
Thanks!

Great job taking out the other bison, Rita. I use LRC but ACR has similar sliders, I believe. I would try to reduce the highlights, especially on the bison's left side (our right) and open up the shadows. It was tough lighting for you. LRC has an HDR option in their Develop Module. I wonder if that is on ACR and would be useful. I agree about the bison looking at you.
I think the eye stands out more in color. The color could be boosted to pick up what must have been a golden light on the bison. |

Great editing to get such a good bird portrait, Diana. You have a lot of skill and patience. The background is beautifully blurred. I can't offer anything to solve the light line (halo?).
I think that too much clarity can be the cause so you could possibly go back into your history and lower it but I've never tried that....or could you just go back into LR and work on the clarity slider? There's also a tedious method with a tiny brush but I've also never tried that-not enough patience or pesisitence! |

wow, Dean- that's quite a shot! It almost looks like a lab slide. I'm amazed that the web can hold such big drops of water. Great texture. |
