I agree with your edits also re the highlights and shadows. The color of the reflected building adds to the inage so I'm not sure B&W would make it better.
I like the cropping Dean did to focus more on the architecture but maybe a little less tight on the right.
Perhaps that and cropping up to just under the street sign to eliminate the cars would keep the sense of city without the car and street distractions. |

Good choice for the timing of the birds' behavior, Anne.
It's not easy capturing birds in flight and I would agree with the suggestions already offered. I, too, am still learning a lot about settings for these kinds of shots and find the suggestions very helpful. |

I agree about the composition and subject. I think you met your goal, Diana. Everything draws attention to her work at hand. It was not an easy shot given the lighting but your edits worked well. I also agree with Dean that perhaps more lighting on her face with either a radial gradient or a brush along with some vignetting would enhance the image. |

It is difficult to get the right amount of saturation. I like the cropping you did, Dean. I especially like the feeling of liquid gold running through the image. As Diane pointed out, the image feels abstract but then you can see the rocks under the water which enhances the sense of two distinct layers keeping the viewer's interest. I would probably be quilty of overdoing the gold saturation! |

I have not submitted an image as I just joined. I hope to be a productive member of this group going forward.
I also find the image to be well composed and am especially drawn to the cactus plants through the use of lighting. The leading line of the pathway and the frame of the arching tree limbs bring the viewer into the imgage. Your editing worked well, I think, Kyle. My only suggestion would to bring down the highlights or to use a brush to reduce the light on the pathway just a bit. |
