Hi Maria - Beautiful image and lovely moment captured. No one else mentioned it, so maybe it's just me, but my eye keeps getting hung up on the portion of the image circled in red in this annotated version. |

Hi Karen - This image falls in one of my favorite classes. I really admire great photos of ordinary subjects. A photograph of something unusual, say an elephant, can be great because of the subject even if the photography choices were not particularly good. But a photograph of an ordinary subject will only be great if the photography is great and this one is. [Carolina Wrens are "ordinary subjects" for me because they are so common where I live.] I tend to agree with what others have said about the greenery on the left side. |

Another fantastic macro photo Maria! The green background works really well and the detail and sharpness are terrific! |

Fantastic image Bruce! The colors are fantastic and the foxes are impossibly cute. With this one picture, I can imagine an hour of their play. The vignetting works for me because it pushes my eye towards the cubs in the center. Would be interesting to see a version though without the vignetting. |

Thanks all for the comments. I really appreciate the feedback. I'm not ready to give up on this technique, but clearly need to keep tinkering with it. |
