Maria - This is a beautiful image and I love the blur on the water. I don't have much experience with long exposures, but your choice of 1 sec seems about perfect. The only thing I might consider is cropping to remove some of the right side of the image because the upper-right section of "mostly white snow" seems to draw my eyes away from the part of the image I want to focus on. |

Isaac: Terrific image - I love the detail on the dragonfly's wings, head and legs. This feels like a "macro image," but it seems that you captured it without macro equipment. How far were you from the dragonfly? |

Adrian - Seems like you had a very successful cruise! Another fantastic image of flying fish. The only suggestion I might have is to enhance the contrast between the fish and the water a bit more to make the fish easier to see. I uploaded an image that doesn't do the subject justice, but in it I tried to use Lightroom to enhance the fish. |

Maria - You captured a wonderful moment between these two birds. The extended wings of the Ibis and the look on the Stilt's face are both glorious. Your image is fantastic and I don't have any suggestions for improving it. But if you haven't already done so, you might consider generating more than one image from your original. I uploaded more of a closeup on the heads of the birds. While the Ibis' wings are glorious, they may draw attention away from the two heads, which almost seem to be in conversation. This closeup looses some of the majesty of the extended wings, but may emphasis the conversation. Just a thought. |
