15 Nov 25 Comment Oh my, Doug - what a capture! I've waited for eagles to swing back around too, but never with such spectacular results! Amazing that the flying eagle's wing mirrors the angle of the branch in the background. Buy a lottery ticket - luck doesn't strike that often for us wildlife photographers! There is one minor suggestion I could make for your consideration to add strength (as if it needs more strength) is to darken the lower right "Bright" area as it creates a minor distraction. I would post my suggested edit but I'm working off my phone right now and don't the ability to make that edit on my phone. But you've got a real winner here! Nov 13th
15 Nov 25 Comment Hi Vivek - this a sharp image of a fascinating bird I had never heard of as they do not occur in North America where I live. Your settings created a soft bokeh background that nicely showcases this Barbet.

I'd love to learn more about the settings you use and identification of the birds you submit in the future. In this case, I'm not sure which member of the Barbet species it might be or what it's eating but I like this image.

15 Nov 25 Comment Ooh-ahh - right place, moment and settings - what a capture, Sarita! This is fabulous as submitted. Although I'm not able to die them on my phone right now, I have 2 very minor (nit-picky) suggestions for your consideration would be to darken the slightly lighter upper left background and darken the light reflection on the underside of the iron perch just behind and under the phoebe's feet. But this image is a crowd pleaser as it is! Nov 11th
15 Nov 25 Comment Larry - I'm ready to cover my ears and duck seeing these geese take off! It's a sharp and powerful image that could easily be a stock shot for a birding magazine. One minor suggestion would be to remove the few stray brown grasses at the bottom (kinda like hanging strings on a shirtsleeve). I wasn't able to do this on my phone but did a minor bottom crop instead to give a sense of losing some of those distractions. Nov 11th
15 Nov 25 Comment Gloria - I love the way you've cropped these gannets. Juxtaposed as they are, adds to the softness of these two birds. The gannets I've shot have close, softer feathers on their heads and necks and do not show the same detail as the rest of the gannet body. When I zoom in to examine this image on my phone, the feathers on head and neck look right to me. Nov 11th
15 Nov 25 Comment Gerhard - Waiting for hours is part of the art of wildlife photography, and you have nailed this "art" as well as your technical skills. The longer you wait, the more you learn of a species' habits l, so I never feel totally disappointed if my wait isn't productive. But this day, you nailed the prize! A+ Nov 11th

36 Nov 25 Comment Bill - I agree with Larry on all counts. The closer crop invites the viewer to follow the "blue", drawing them further into this detailed and dimensional view. Nice capture!

36 Nov 25 Comment Large waterfalls can be very hard to shoot. I agree with Adi that your exposure is spot on, Michael. If your intention is to focus on the power of this waterfall, I suggest a closer crop for your consideration. In the attached image, I've tried to focus more attention to the incredible power of this falling water that you've captured as it descends in sheets. Nov 11th
36 Nov 25 Comment Hi Adi - I like this image. The colors are soft and the scene beckons me to step in. I feel the tops of the trees and the larger, darker tree trunk on the left may be a bit distracting from the overall scene though. I've done a quick crop for your consideration. This is the kind of scene that could be cropped vertical to make a nice magazine or book cover. Nov 11th
36 Nov 25 Comment Spectacular image, Larry! I would agree with Adi that the color magenta might be a tad strong. But the partially occluded moon added enough light that the magenta may have been right. I am not bothered by the horizon light from Grand Lake - it actually adds depth and definition to that gap between the mountains. Nov 11th
