Very creative - I like it! I agree with Ian and Bob regarding contrast and artifacts but other than that...fun image to study. |

Good job with the painterly effect. painterly effects can be tricky if photoshop. In my opinion the log is a little distracting...use a tighter crop as Ian suggested and try darkening the bright area some - see if it would make a difference. My eyes go back and forth between the log and the flowers and I think the main focus is to be the flowers. |

Beautiful garden. Adding detail in the sky really made a big difference. I enjoy seeing painterly images - sometimes they are over done (mainly with the Photoshop version) but your is just right. Love the colors and really like the way the effect worked with the fountain! |

I really like your creativity with this. Like the others- I also thought of Rene Magritte. If Magritte was also your influence for this image, I would maybe tone down or flatten the colors and create full silhouette of man and lighten the right corner slightly. |

Thank you, Bob. Just trying to create and go out of my comfort zone. I look at other people's images and things they combine and wonder how they would even think to come up with the different elements they use! The background colors are just a background of colors I created. Colors, gradients, tones and hues are all things I'm wanting to learn. Thank you! |

Thank you Ian. The second "original" image isn't mine...I had submitted the tree...just an fyi. I do like your monotone version - definitely gives it a whole different look.
