Group Round C/R Comment Date Image
18 Jan 25 Reply I played around with your image and thought I would share what I came up with- though I could find my angel decoration to get some wings from for the woman falling "from heaven". I added a slight gaussian blur to the background and repositioned everyone's head so the angel was more in line with the woman. I also made the image of the woman slightly smaller. Jan 21st
18 Jan 25 Reply You can download brushes from Photoshop. The trees are created from brushes called "concept" brushes. You can also create your own brushes. (see comment I left for Bob Wills) Brushes are soooo much fun! Jan 21st
18 Jan 25 Reply Thank you Bob for your comments. Being new to the group - I'm not sure how much anyone plays with all the tools in photoshop - but I spend a-LOT of time going down rabbit holes when i get on YouTube. I love to learn and love to experiment with different settings. That being said... brushes are one of my faves! Photoshop has a lot of brushes and I also make some of my brushes. The trees are made from brushes - they are called "concept" brushes. Concept brushes offer all kids of shapes. But you can also use your images and turn them into a solid black image and then create a brush. Jan 21st
18 Jan 25 Reply Thank you for your comments. When I work on this again I will try to find a wreath and will definitely crop the clouds! Jan 21st
18 Jan 25 Reply Thank you for the "warm" welcome! The trees and snow are actually brushes- are those allowed here? Thank you for your comments- I'm looking forward to reworking my image with your suggestions. Jan 10th
18 Jan 25 Comment Compositing is nicely done. I had to look several times to see what was added because it all blended in so well. Jan 10th
18 Jan 25 Comment Excellent job on selecting your subjects and removing them from the background. I feel the textured background is a little distracting. In my opinion I think reducing the size of the crowd so they fit into the image and then try a sketch effect on the crowd and woman. For me a slight sketch effect would blend with the background. Perhaps angel type wings on the woman. Jan 10th
18 Jan 25 Comment Very clever and creative! A fun image. Love the warping effect. Jan 10th
18 Jan 25 Comment I personally would not change a thing. My initial thought was this looks like an impressionist painting. For me, the blue area reminds me of a surfers wave that leads the eye into a swirl of beautiful colors. It has texture, movement and bright colors. I can see this on canvas. I never studied art but during the pandemic I discovered an appreciation for art/abstracts. By trying different settings and ways of editing in photoshop I've learned a lot about the many photoshop tools and love to create abstract images. Jan 10th
