94 Mar 26 Reply Thank you, John. He was indeed unusually blue , even for mating colors but I see where it can come across as unnatural so I brought the saturation down a smidge! Mar 22nd
94 Mar 26 Reply Thanks Peter. I thought about blurring the background as I favor cleaner backgrounds as well. Will play with that since I have reduced saturation a bit on the bird now. He was indeed unusually blue , even for mating colors but I see where it can come across as unnatural. Mar 22nd
94 Mar 26 Reply I bought a macro a year or so ago and I have been trying to become more proficient with it. I do think there is a difference in the end result. But it's my comfort level to shoot with a longer lens so I still mainly do that because that's what I will have when opportunities arise! I have been following Emilie Talpin who specializes in macro. I met her at a CNPA conference and she has been featured by many photography organizations. She's fun to watch and listen to. Mar 17th
94 Mar 26 Reply Thanks Sarita! I will check that. His mauling colors were particularly richer than most, which caught my eye. Mar 13th
94 Mar 26 Comment Excellent capture, Leslie! I think that's a type of Skipper butterfly. Great composition, tack sharp and lovely subjects! And you didn't even use a macro lens! Mar 9th
94 Mar 26 Comment Very nice, John. The layers of white give this photo an artistic feeling to me. Very calming. The pop of the green door is guiding me to move in that direction. It's not needed but I would be inclined to play with different tones of white in the sky to see if it adds additional drama. Mar 9th
94 Mar 26 Comment Beautiful! It does look so similar to an Eastern Bluebird. What a beautiful bird! Love the creamy bokeh background contrasting with the rich blue of the bird. He looks like he posed just for you! Mar 9th
94 Mar 26 Comment Nice catch, Sherry! Osprey are so much fun to photograph. This appears to be a male. Your shot is sharp and showcases those lethal talons. A winning shot for sure. Mar 9th
94 Mar 26 Comment Truly amazing, Peter! I am envious of what must have been a jaw dropping experience. I have nothing meaningful to add improvement wise. Perhaps a minor suggestion to edit out the rock or whatever it might be in your right hand bottom corner. Mar 9th
