Nice shot, John! I agree with the previous comments on lighting and yes, a longer lens may have helped. But you told the story and captured a day in the life of of these amazing birds. |

Nice, Judy. I had the pleasure of seeing these birds in East Africa but they weren't doing anything nearly as interesting! And I agree with Sherry, they were always trying to get away from us. Nice capture! |

I am particularly interested in Antarctica shots these days and this intrigued me. My first reaction was where are the penguins as that is what we have become accustomed to seeing. I love that you focused on the beauty of the contrasts of ice, sky and sea. It is a beautiful scene that suggests age and fragility. |

Thanks Leslie! I think I increased the shadows to make them standout from the busy background but might not be needed. I agree, they are adorable and fun to watch. |
