I love the drama of the driftwood and the setting itself. Personally I would be curious to see you bring even more focus to the driftwood by blurring or de-highlighting your foreground and background a bit so that they are more of "supporting cast members" vs equal billing to the star. Maybe a touch less sky. |

What a great "in the moment" shot! I like that you kept the whole "scene" in this shot to illustrate more of the natural setting that would be expected for the elk. I would suggest blurring the bottom right foliage just a bit to shift the focus up more to the elk. I agree with Leslie that you might tone down the yellow, and play around with very slightly decreasing the texture a bit on Mama's body as it seems brighter and sharper than her head. |

So sweet! I think I agree with Leslie that you can't really tell what's under those wings. It's a good shot of the BNS in any case, with more eye contact than in the photo with the chick. But, I also favor the one with the chick because of the emotion. |
