A nice serene scene of the country side, I like it a lot. The smoke adds a special touch to the photo. Your edited version has more contrast and dimension and it looks better. |

Very interesting photo, almost comical. :) It tells a good story. I wonder if you could have rendered the mother bird more sharp by increase the shutter speed and ISO, and then denoise it PS or LR. |

Very nice and sharp image. I think I prefer the color version because it showcases the beautiful color of the building after your edit. I'm not sure it's my perception, the green colors on some or part of the trees seem kind of off, not natural looking. |

The reflection is a very nice element in the image. I agree that John's crop helps to shift the focus to the cottage and it's reflection and minimized the distraction caused by the brown dirt. |

Thank you for your comments. To be honest, I didn't think about smoothing out the water in the foreground, I was very focused on trying the different shutter speeds to get the texture of the water I wanted. |

Thank you for your comments. Yes, using a polarizer would have cut down on the glare of the water, but I didn't have one at the time. You're right, the level might be slightly off, but very slightly, the left side of the waterfall is a bit lower. |

Thank you both for your comments. I went back and looked at my edits; the saturation was dialed up a bit high. Lowering it some made a difference. The water was pretty colorful like Nigel said, either from algae or mineral or a combination of both. The scene overall did have quite a bit of color. |
