Love the brilliant color of this image. The expanse of the beautiful sky makes it very dramatic. Simple compositional elements, yet the image doesn't feel empty. Very nice job! |

It's a pretty capture of the river and the mountains. I like the red boat at the alomst one-third frame, adds a little punch to the otherwise relatively mono-toned scene. I like Tom's edits too, it brings out more of the beautiful color of the valley. |

Very cool photo, I wonder if it's relatively rare that you see three vultures in the same frame like this; it's probably also rare that they are all lined up in the same direction. You were at the right place at the right time. Nice details on the feathers. Overall a pleasing balanced photo. |

I love the composition of this image, forest, waterfall and rocks; mother nature is so beautiful! I agree with the comments that the edited image is a bit too dark; the high contract made the waterfall seem a bit too bright with the large area it occupies. You did a good job blurring the waterfall, but I almost feel like I want to see it with just a tad bit more texture like the smaller waterfall on the right. Maybe that's not possible with the amount of water while retaining the silky texture of the smaller waterfall. Overall I like this B/W image a lot. |

Very nice image, gives a very serene feel. Strong composition; I especially like the diagonal leading line of the walkway. |

Hi, thank you all for your kind comments. Yes, like Nigel said, we need to make the effort to go out and capture the beauty of nature. I've been living in California for many years, even though I knew about this phenomenon, I never went to see it until I got into photography. I consider myself lucky to be able to get this photo on my first visit. I will probably be making more trips there in the future for more photos. |
