The real image would have been the picture of you trying to get this image, haha. You do impress me with the level of planning and execution you manage to pull off. Like Judith, I find myself wanting to turn up the exposure just a little, but then you may lose that sense of "kissed by light". Maybe just lighten up the flowers or background a smidge. Overall, a very lovely image. |

I love walking through a forest and seeing the broken light through the trees. My kind of place, for sure. I enjoy the image as is with all the trees. But to lean into the "serenity" of the lower pool and the timed exposure, I cropped off the upper trees for a different approach. I don't think it's better, but a different take on the same scene. The smoothness/stillness of the lower pool just called to me... |

Your sky replacement certainly works. Without your description, I would not necessarily take note of the tree branches crossed over the stream. My eye was more drawn to the upright tree. A lower angle may have worked. Perhaps lightening the stream to draw the viewer's eye up to the branches might help. |

Very nice sharp subject and good detail on the front flowers. Tom's cropping in a bit does work for me. I like the reds of the flowers contrasting with yellow of the bird and hints of red here and there in the background. |

The three cubs are striking a great pose, making for great composition. I agree with Barbara to bring down the saturation of the grass and lighten up the lions as Butch has done. Overall, the depth of field holds up from nose to tail. Brightening the eyes does help engage the viewer more. I love the spots on their legs too. |
