Very nice photo, can't think of a single thing to change. The implied motion serves the image well.
My sister and I once drove with my aunt from Wichita to Garden City to see our father's home town. Along the way we saw many windmills. My aunt had a thing for photographing windmills so we stopped a lot. I'll have to look back for some of those photos. Thanks for stirring up a sweet memory. |

I agree with others, Butch's edit works well. I like the sunlight on the log. I could almost feel the sun on my face if I sat there to take in the morning you brought us. I think if you find yourself wanting to be in the image, it is working! |

It's funny. I was more bothered by the grass in front of its nose, not the tail! Haha. |

What a great range of colors and textures you have captured here! Do I wish we could step back a bit to take in more of the foreground, maybe? But the angles of the structures and the angles of the hills are great. Love the yellow and greens. The clouds add to the story of a weathered cabin. Very nicely done! |

Very enjoyable image, Barbara. I like how the darker ripples set off the yellow of the beak. I tend to crop in on a lot on my own bird images, but with a softer focus, it works to stay out a bit. The gold tone sets a nice warm feeling for the picture.
How do you like the 200-800? I occasionally get tempted to add this to my Canon line-up. |

I like the exposure of this image and going monochrome certainly works well. I agree with the others, cropping in does work as well. I wondered how it would look to tone down the light reflecting somewhat hot on her glasses. Not sure if it's an improvement, but what do you think? |
