When I read Tom's comment about contrast, I also thought to try mono. As Hoshedar shows, it works well. Nice work on merging 4 frames, especially hand held. |

Great story and great photo, Butch. I have not done any light painting, but am definitely interested in giving it a try. Cars and motorcycles seem to be attractive subjects for this type of image. To your point, this image is intentional, dramatic and visually compelling. I agree that the green shape to the left is a little bit distracting. Overall, a very well executed photo. |

I agree with all the other comments. It's a great shot capturing the action of the moment. The varying coats of the horses translates well in monochrome. The right edge shows the dust gradually blurring up to the background. I would try to retain that gradual blur as the dust stirs upward. As always, Judith has good attention to the details and catching the presence of the fence. |

I really enjoy the textures in the bird feathers and exposed colors underneath. Perhaps toning down the intensity in the background would flatter the bird. But maybe you like the background more as is. |

I like the cat and the colors of wood and the textures of the wood. I just have a hard time with the dirty window, though I know it helps set the scene. |

I have a soft spot for Santa Barbara, my brother owns a bookstore in town. This is a beautiful scene, that I'm sure provokes some warm memories. It may lack a clear focal point of interest, perhaps, but still a gorgeous scene. I like the bits of reflective color on the sand/water. |
