This camera did not have the eye-tracking feature, but I do have a couple models now that do. It works great, especially for tracking birds. |

Great detail, Butch, and a good story to go along with it. I'm glad you and your gear did not go for a swim. Obviously, the red makes the image pop, but the detail and timing make the image. You and this group make me realize I need to work on my intention when I shoot, to know what kind of pictures I want to create and how to get what I want. I often let things play out and take what I get. I focus on the technical settings, but not always a total plan for what story I want to tell. You went back for a second year knowing what you wanted and how to get it. Stay safe! |

As Tom said, great idea to merge a couple images to capture the entire rainbow and scene before it vanished. It's so enchanting, I find myself looking for a pot of gold...
Who doesn't love a nice rainbow without any obstructions.

Many many years ago I went on a one day boat trip out of Seward, Alaska and had a similar experience with a glacier. I just had a small video camera with me and the battery was dead by then. Not much tortures a photographer more than beautiful scenery and action and no way to capture it. I am happy you have many images from your trip to savor. The blue of a glacier is something special. I like the blacks and blues of the ice patterns. The greenish objects on the right distract me a bit because I'm not sure if they're rock or ice. But overall a great moment in time captured. |

What an interesting composition. I would agree, the window is a little distracting. My eyes go back and forth between the lines over the empty face and the open area of the throat. It's probably not for everybody, but I enjoy the image. |

I agree with Butch about the "mood" of this photo, just wonderful. Makes me want to be on that boat! As the sun is behind the boat, I would probably leave the details of the boat in shadow. I especially like the line of the sun cast on the water juxtaposed to the shadow of the boat and sail. Nicely done. |
