What an experience with a great shot to capture the moment. Not until Judith mentioned the fellow with the camera on the right, did I noticed the cell phones on the left. I guess they are a fact of life, though removing them would add to the ancient ritual you are attempting to capture. Unless the modern audience is part of the moment. I also agree with clipping the top flames off to keep your eye more central. |

I agree with the others, the composition is fantastic though the glare is a little distracting.
I really like how the shadows bring your eye to the shoes as the focus tightens. Backlight on the shoe and leg is so nice. The one heel on the floor and the other raised implies some possible motion or direction which adds to the story for me. As film noir often has femme fatales, one can wonder, is she hiding, leaving, sneaking out of the shadows...Maybe try it again on a different flooring?? |

The vase and flowers are just stunning. 30 sec exposure, amazing! I am impressed by your efforts and technique. Sounds like fun! I could do without the pedals below, or perhaps scatter them around as they would actually fall?
Poppies are the state flower in California, so we don't put them in vases, but volunteers have overrun my front yard. I don't complain when they're blooming, but I can see they have spread to neighbors' homes just like they did to mine. |

Nice photo! I agree that your low angle to shoot and the low morning light make this image. Droplets of water on the grass add to the setting. Well done. |

I can see why this grouping of horse posts caught your eye. I do like increasing the contrast a bit to set off the posts. As Judith said, I'd like a bit more angle along the horse heads. And to keep my eye down the line, maybe a wider depth of field or stacked focus would have an interesting effect. |

Thank you, Barbara. I usually see these characters whipping around in the air or on their bird box. This was a rare find. |

I do agree the eye was a little dark. Good catch. Thank you. |

Thanks, Butch. As I told Tom, I thought you would like the bird facing to the right, but I also agree that the wood leads you up to the bird when the image is flipped. I just found out I did win a small local photo contest at the Nature Preserve with this image. I always appreciate the feedback to improve. |

I have to chuckle. Though not in flight, I thought with the bird facing left to right, no one will want to flip this image. But then both you and Butch flipped it. Haha. I can't say you are wrong. Thanks for the feedback. |
